In today’s knowledge-driven economy intellectual property (IP) rights have become valuable business assets. Most successful companies in recent years have relied heavily on their creative and innovative capacity as their main source of competitiveness. IP protection offers an important tool for businesses to enhance competitiveness and strengthen the position of their products or services in the marketplace. A large majority of SMEs (70%) estimate they need support in the area of IP management. But SMEs have limited resources (time, money etc) to get to informational resources.
The project has as general objective the facilitation of the development of innovative practices in the field of vocational education and training on sector level and their transfer from Greece to Bulgaria and other participating countries - Belgium, Lithuania, the Netherlands and Italy.
The main aim of the project is to adapt and transfer a Knowledge and Talent Management Program from the project "TALISMAN" to Slovakia, Italy, Spain, Cyprus, Lithuania, Ireland, and Greece, analysis of the training program, its adaptation to the requirements of the project countries and to the needs of the target group (managers of Touristic SMEs); testing and evaluation; dissemination of information about the project and project results and preparation for their subsequent exploitation.
SPA-ROAD main objective is to prevent and combat the stress of the road transport drivers (freight and passengers) and SME workers in order to improve their health and the European roads safety, reducing the number of accidents caused by stress consequences in workers. This objective is to be accomplished by providing the target group with a set of training contents and activities that will be presented in a learning platform and will be available for mobile learning.
Project LEBEBO – portfolio of study materials for young entrepreneurs – aims to increase the viability, competitiveness and dynamics of emerging companies founded by new and young entrepreneurs. This will be achieved by increasing the new entrepreneurs’ vocational training and competencies with purpose to update the obsolete knowledge and introduce them to new trends, through book, web application with eLearning courses and teaching texts. Topics of newly produced courses were chosen on the basis of special investigation.
Environmentally friendly company management can improve a company’s image, maximise the existing potential for customer loyalty and even produce cost savings. Highlighting the potential benefits of selecting a sustainable range of products and documenting the physical properties of sustainable products is an excellent basis for formulating convincing sales arguments and providing sound advice to customers.
VITA – Virtual Learning for the management of successful SMEs in Europe - presents an innovative approach to learn and practice entrepreneurship and business management competence, based on the results of different projects, concerning web 2.0 based and virtualization strategies.
In the last few decades and due especially to the continuous transformation of the economy, small businesses have found themselves having to take great efforts, often without results, to achieve an improvement in competitiveness. This situation is even more difficult for the small companies that exist in small towns, and which have to compete with the larger retailers in neighbouring cities, absorbing almost the total demand of the consumers. On the other hand, most of the training programmes and materials are focused on the large companies, especially the more complex ones, related to quality management systems, knowledge management systems and business networks.
Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) need a tailor-made ISO 9001:2000 guide - most training materials are developed for large enterprises and have little use for SMEs.
The products of this project are designed to fulfil the needs of SMEs in all the partner countries. The consortium will work together on the work packages.
Practical e-learning platform about environmental and energy efficiency issues aimed to the SMEs of the European agroindustrial sector.
The main object is to transfer the created dissemination and awareness materials and previous projects in environmental issues by the partners involved in the project to an innovative and comprehensive training plan with a pedagogical methodology. It will include procedures, modules and materials capable of giving managers of SMEs, European skills and competencies required for the implementation of procedures related to environmental issues.
