The Director of the Institute is Dr. Charalambos Tsardanidis.

 

The Institute holds four active positions on the level of Heads of Units.

  

Dr. Asteris Huliaras is Head of the Africa and Development Cooperation Unit.

    

Dr. Ioanna Anastasopoulou is Head of the International Business Unit.

 

 

Academic Personnel:

 

Dr. Charalampos Tsardanidis is the Director of the Institute of International Economic Relations since 1993. His work focuses mainly on the External Relations of the EU, interregionalism, the analysis of foreign policy and economic diplomacy. 

 

 

 

 

Dr. Asteris Huliaras has been Head of the Unit of Africa and Development Cooperation of the Institute since 1994. His research interests are focused on the Foreign Affairs of African states, the relations of North - South and on Political Geography.

 

 

 

Mr. Plamen Tonchev is Associate Senior Fellow.

 

 

 

Dr. Stelios Stavridis is Associate Senior Fellow.

 

 

 

Dr. Ioanna Anastasopoulou is Head of the Unit of International Business Studies since 1993. Her main research topics are Commercial Law and International Business Law.

 

 

 

Mrs Stella Milioti is working at the Institute since the summer of 1998, as the head of the Secretariat of the Institute. She is also responsible of the Public Relations Office of IIER.

 

 

 

Mr. Sotiris Petropoulos is Research Fellow at the IIER since 2003. He is responsible for the internship programme.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Mrs Alkisti Iliadi has joined the Institute in 2004. She is co-responsible for the internship programme of IIER.
