DG of Health and Consumer Protection
Club Health – Healthy and Safer Nightlife of Youth focuses on building capacity in public administration and public services in national and local governments and their institutions, especially to facilitate more consistent implementation of strategies in the field of youth risk behaviour prevention, increasing safety and health standards in nightlife and education and training of staff working in discotheques and night clubs to enable them to help prevent different harms
6th Framework Programme
UPDATE - UPDATE stands for Understanding and Providing a Developmental Approach to Technology Education. Aim of the programme is to improve science and technology teaching in Europe in order to appeal young people to technology, especially girls. New learning material and methods shall result from the project which is focussing three age-groups mainly: early childhood, elementary school (age 6 to 12) and general education (age 13-18).

PREDAC (European Action For Renewable Energies) is a project which aims at promoting local development of renewable energies and energy efficiency in Europe.
Intelligent Energy Europe
	The RES Compass is financed by the program “Intelligent Energy Europe of the European Union”. The desired final outcome of the program is the development of an on-line resource and tool for school and university graduates considering a career in Renewable Energy. The on-line tool will offer to the users a career profile and the related training offers in EU-27 per profile for people interested working in the RES sector.

Life-long Learning Programme
	Benchmarking tool for Quality Assurance and Evaluation in Vocational Education and Training
	MIGRANTS+ aims at training trainers, mediators and support staff on how to assess basic skills and competences of adult emigrants and their learning needs by using a software tool and also at developing lifelong learning opportunities for adult migrants.
LEBEBO [Learn to Become Your Own Boss] - Aim of this project is to increase the viability, competitiveness and dynamics of emerging companies founded by new and young entrepreneurs. This will be achieved by increasing the new entrepreneurs’ vocational training and competencies with purpose to update the obsolete knowledge and introduce them to new trends.
CITEX [Competitive Intelligence in Trade and Export] - Development of Competitive Intelligence (CI) training methods that will improve skills such as: assessing the competition of other companies in the same sector; finding new potential suppliers; understanding the relevant regulations in new markets or simply detecting new business opportunities
COSMETRAIN - E-learning tool for managers of small and medium enterprises, focused at construction industry.

M'AIDER [(Maritime Aids' Development for Emergency Responses] - The systematic attempt in developing accident or incident scenarios for training of young cadets and seafarers working at sea and ports in emergency situations in considered novel and has not done before. The project concerns those aspects of human error related to emergency situations which can be corrected through removal of existing deficiencies in Maritime Education and Training (MET) of cadet officers as well as those working on board vessels as officers of various ranks
NO_Stress - Stress Prevention Methodologies and Risk Assessment and prevention of work-related stress and training related contents This project main idea is to use the results of SPA "Stress Prevention Activities" Project and a Risk Assessment tool called WEST "Work Environment Screening Tool", combine them and put it in a more friendly environment, via web, for all type of learners and mainly VET students.
PATENT4SME - Innovative educational concept aimed at teaching the skills and knowledge requested to manage IPR in enterprises
REWORCOM [Remote Workshop of Communications] - New strategy for the technological training, based on the innovative idea of remotely using, through the internet, industrial technological equipment for the practical training of students in vocational schools
SHNW [Safety and Health for New Workers] - Innovative solutions to the problem of accidents at work faced by new employees of small enterprises and businesses in the industrial sector.
SPAT [Stress Prevention Activities Training] − Promotion of effective risk assessment and prevention of work−related stress and training related stress
VETWORKS - Transfer of the SPEAK instrument within a multi-stakeholder approach to national VET networks and advancement of their effectiveness and efficiency by using the European Common Quality Assurance Framework (CQAF) as a reference framework for implementation.
CHEMIFOR - A fresh advance in continuous training for employees in the CHEMICAL Industry. A useful tool for the vocational training within the Chemical sector
e-CoreManager - Integrating Virtual Management Competencies in Managerial & Business Training.
ECO-SME+ - The project is based on the necessity of improving the low levels of participation in adult learning as well as reinforcing sustainable development and environment protection. “ECO-SME+” wants to eliminate as many barriers as possible in order to increase number of SMEs that implement the Environmental Management System EMAS and tools to support individuals undertaking self-directed learning in the environmental framework.

EGMDSS VET - Maritime e-learning system for radio operators on leisure or commercial vessels. An easy way to reach the knowledge of VHF, MF, HF and Inmarsat communication systems and prepare for the SRC (Short Range Certificate) and the LRC (Long Range Certificate) in 10 different languages for free.
IDOL - International Development Officer - validation of informal and non-formal Learning.

MEKUS - Creation of a comprehensive and innovative training plan to meet the specific needs of the agro-industrial sector in Europe. The training plan will include useful and practical material such as policies, systems, tools and case studies which will equip managers of SMEs with the skills and com- petencies needed to implement best practice environmental management systems

VITA [Virtual Learning for the management of successful SMEs in Europe] - Innovative approach to learn and practice entrepreneurship and business management competence, based on the results of different projects, concerning web 2.0 based and virtualization strategies.
VoLANGteer - This is a pilot project for learning the Galician and Frisian languages to foreigners from the accompanying voluntary and it is expect to become an example of good practices which can be developed in other places for learning languages.
3D-Biolab - Development of e-learning contents with 3D simulations for biology learning and teaching.
BONy - Babylon & ONtology: Multilingual and cognitive e-Learning Management System via PDA phone.
Crisis - This project is based on the idea that cyclical crises may occur in several industrial sectors and therefore focuses on the measures that should be taken in order to overcome these cyclical crises.

EU DAIRY.Facilitate the visibility and recognetion of professional qualifications in dairy sector in the EU.
e-WindTech - Development of an online e-learning training tool for wind mills maintenance technicians. The tooll provides simulations of interactive virtual reality to train the technicians on the most critical operations in maintenance of wind turbines.
ICONET - The project starts from the basic assumption that disadvantaged young people have acquired skills in non-formal and informal settings which are relevant for their vocational education and training yet cannot be used systematically because these skills are not evident. The aim of the ICONET project is to transfer and mainstream the validation approach of the previous project ICOVET to new countries, sectors and target groups.
INTERPRES - Investigation of the context where the linguistic-cultural intermediaries work (a context involving at this point health, school, prisons, courts, etc.) in three partner countries, in order to collect and compare the good practices emerged in the latest years, to define both peculiarities and limits of these new professional figures and to create a permanent training, able to have also a vocational guidance function towards further professional ways.
MEDIAction - Website that provides graduates and young adults with information about life in the European Union so as to facilitate intercultural understanding and mobility between member states. The website features both professionally made videos and user-generated videos concerning everyday life, working life and national cultural characteristics
SeniorTics - SeniorTics is a multifaced, colourful and enjoyable EU funded project between Spain, Portugal, France and Greece that offers seniors basic use of computers and the Internet, excursions, communication between different countries, exchanges with youngsters, photo contest and so much more!

eEduser - Efficient e-learning network services establishment for education without borders.

INNO-START- The usage of flexible working forms such as tele-service and tele-cooperation on the basis of IT
networks allows the delivery of the service internationally. Thus the SME gain  the opportunity to develop European 
partnerships and meet therefore the challenges of the globalization and increasing competition.

SPIDERWEB - The SPIDERWEB project offers a holistic approach in identifying the dropout population, analyse their 
individual needs and conduct a support and prevention program.

QUALITY ON WEB - The project was developed by a consortium of European organizations, in order to produce an 
e-learning tool in the field of Quality Management. The target group for this method is managers of SMS’s that may 
face to some difficulties understanding the strict terminology and requirements of the ISO 9001 standard.

KNOWMAKERS - Knowledge Management is evolving as the key and value-creating element in the generation and
implementation of innovation in organisations with a business or business support nature. Not only the capability of
developing new ideas is relevant, but also the capability of optimising the acquired or developed knowledge, and promoting
its joint use.

SAFE-DOCK - The aim of the project SAFE-DOCK it is a creation of a training tool for labour risks prevention among seaport 
dockworkers, which will assure the continuous professional training in the field of labour safety, whose basic element will be 
New Technologies of the Information Society.

ROI - Return on Investment in Training (under Leonardo da Vinci P/02/B/F/PP-125502)
Project duration: 24 months
Staring date: November 1st, 2002 Ending date: November 1st, 2004.
Promoter: CECOA – Vocational Training Centre for Trade and Service Activities, Portugal.
Partnership: the project benefits of a wide network of 11 partners from Portugal, Finland, Czech Republic, Greece, Bulgaria,
Austria and Romania.
General Objectives: to conceive and develop a methodology and a set of tools allowing training providers, companies (namely
SME’s) and other stakeholders to evaluate the return (skills, performance, turnover, organization structure) on training investment.
Specific Objectives: to build a tool to calculate the connection between cost/profit of any training programme; to define a frame
for the evaluation model according to the project objectives and well adapted to each country reality.

EUROCULVALUES - The “TRAINING METHODOLOGY OF EUROPEAN CROSS-CULTURAL BUSINESS VALUES” is a
Leonardo Project that aims to form the conceptual model of European business’ cultural values and prepare the methodology of
vocational training of cultural values that are adequate to common European trade environment in the enterprises.

ALIQUAL - The project ALIQUAL aims to freshen up existing knowledge and help the acquisition of new knowledge, especially
in small und very small businesses. It is aimed that this regulation isn't perceived as an additional compulsion but can be seen to
be used as a competitive advantage and quality characteristic.

M.E.N.S. project (Managing Enterprise Networks) tries to guide to European SMEs in this change process towards new economy,
responding to the current needs of Organizations. This project is financed by the European Programme “Leonardo Da Vinci”, created
by EU in order to promote a European space in the education and vocational training area.

VSMlite combines the principles of Lean with project management to deliver a tool for continuous improvement in an easy to use
web based application.
VSMlite focuses on optimising the management of Value Streams in an organisation. The application allows users to assess their
organisation’s “Leanness”, develop current and future Value Stream Maps, identify improvement activities, generate implementation
plans and manage these plans across the organisation. This is facilitated throughout through the use of wizards.

YET - There is a growing number of young people who obtain higher education qualifications, but remain unemployed or inactive as
far the labour market is concerned which may have an adverse impact on the society. The YOUNG ENTREPRENEURS’ TRAINING
(YET) PROGRAMME/SYSTEM will help these young people with a degree to assess their skills, competences, attitudes, personality
features, motivation, etc.

DEFEMINISATION OF POVERTY - The objective of the Project, “Defeminization of Poverty”, is to develop a blended training program
incorporating on-line and in-class training material, suitable for literate but in most cases educationally deficient small entrepreneurs
and candidate entrepreneurs, aiming to reach primarily women (%75 Women, %25 Men).
