Positive Conflict of Interests Management (POCODIMA)

POCODIMA aims at developing training material for conflict management. The ability to manage positively conflicts and differences is a crosscutting expertise, unavoidable for the multicultural world of Information Technology to become more efficient in situations needing communication between persons of different social-cultural background. That ability is an important component of tutors’ capabilities in sustaining an high motivational level between leaners with conflictual differences (implied or explicit ones).

The specific objectives of the project are:

  • To create interactive formative modules and re-usable learning objects, to give to an adult pubblic (expecially trainers and operators front.office) conceptual and emotional instruments as elements of active listening, confidence-building, principles of mediation and conciliation, techniques of de-escalation. Materials include a Training manual and an interactive multimedia CD ROM for conflict management.
  • To create an European community of practice.
  • To produce and share material of support to the teaching planning to the positive management of conflict.
